Ford Mustang GT Restoration – 1966 Can Am Pace Car

Our team completed a Ford Mustang GT restoration on this 1966 convertible. We did a concourse level restoration. It was a special project because it was the pace car for the Can Am race.
The car came to us from Canada. After restoration, it was on exhibit in the Mustang Owner’s Museum, In 2019, it returned to our auto body shop showroom in Fuquay Varina, NC for display during the next several years.
Here’s a list of some of the things we did:
- Frame-off restoration
- Factory matching paint and striping
- Wheel and tire replacement
- Original interior re-installation
- Convertible top replacement
